Cotillion gown... #2!

Dress from J. Crew; $350 (The color pictured is called Dusty Shale, although they no longer have the color. I'm sure you can find the color somewhere else though!)

I've gotten a new cotillion gown. This shopaholicism of mine is rather terrible. I can't wait, the dance is in February! I just don't have a date yet, due to it being a Sadie's dance. I'm quite scared, but I'm sure I'll get over it.

Cupcakes

Frilly aprons, the fickle smells of sweets and chocolate, heart shaped bowls and antique silverware and cake stands, 50's pop music (Especially Sherille's Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow) on repeat, and a big fat mess in the center of it all. Welcome to my kitchen! A place where you will definitely be fed.

Baking. It's the one thing that will always make me happy.

Well, I'm not saying that I actually love the task. I absolutely hate washing plates and getting dirty and spilling ingrediants and things like that. But when I hand someone a cupcake or anything like that, and they smile or tell me they love it (or rarely, say that it has made their day)... well, that's why I love it. That's what I strive for. Even though it probably makes someone happy for only 5 minutes.. well, it means the world to me because I made a difference.

Music Friday: The Drums

Down by the Water - The Drums
You've absolutely no idea how much I love the drums. Especially Jacob (the boy with the brown hair that I took a picture of above). He's so, needless to say, statuesque! I saw The Drums live at Fitzgerald's in Houston. It was the first time they were at Houston, and I absolutely adored the concert. Their dancing is so sassy! :)

Audrey and such

Dress from Modcloth
Shoes by Badgley Mischka

My absence has been inexcusable! I've just been so consumed with school work and a special project that I call "The Ruth Project". The Ruth Project is a project that I have started to raise money for a wonderful princess themed party for children cancer patients or kids without homes. It'll be delightful, and once it is thrown, I will definitely show some pictures. In the mean time, I will try to be more consistent with my blogging.

Audrey has been such a great idol in my life. From Funny Face to Roman Holiday to Breakfast at Tiffany's... I can go on with this list, but it'd be such a long list! She's such a great inspiration, being the ambassador of UNICEF and all. She's such a great person, from fashion to singing to everything! I haven't seen Paris, When it Sizzles yet, but once I get my hands on it, I will right away :).

School has been dragging me away from things that I love. Especially blogging. It has been time consuming and very tiring. Recently, I've been dealing with so much work that I must stay awake until 2 am in the morning even though it is first week of school!

So please forgive me for my long periods of absences, but I plan to return soon with a collage dedicated to my idol, Audrey Hepburn.

Alexa Chung for Madewell

I've gone over board with pictures. But why not? Alexa Chung, one of the greatest fashionistas of this decade, is about to launch her Madewell line on September 10th!!! Not only that, but it's actually going to be affordable. No 500 dollar dresses or shirts or anything like that. :)
All of the pictures above are from her line, and were found here, here, and here. (Click on each of the 'here's' for the link if you want to know more about the collection!)
I'm so excited! What's your favourite outfit?

***Also, there has been some issues with my blog right now. Sorry for the mess.***

Music Friday: Boy in Static

Toy Baby Grand- Boy in Static

Honestly, it's not one of the best music videos I've seen, but it's such an amazing song that very few know about.
